Baltimore’s real estate landscape has undergone remarkable change over the last several years. Development, community planning, financing, construction and ownership are more visible to the public than ever before.

These fundamental shifts have led to numerous new opportunities in real estate investment and a financially complex lending market. The new capital markets require professionals with knowledge of modern technology, the ability to communicate their vision to others and an understanding of financial and risk analysis.

The Merrick School of Business offers Maryland's only B.S. in Real Estate and Economic Development program. One of the strengths of the program is the engaged Advisory Board. Board Members provide advice, opinions, and ideas regarding a variety of issues, including programs, recruitment, placement, and the general competitive environment affecting the Program. Members also help to improve the visibility and reputation of the Program, the School and the University.
