- Prof. Patria Julnes was decorated with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Isabel the Catholic, April 22, bestowed on behalf of the king of Spain.
- Emily Lyles, B.A. '10, M.P.A. '12, student in the M.A. in Global Affairs and Human Security program, was selected for a prestigious and competitive internship with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
