Wilson Presidential Scholarship

The Wilson Presidential Scholarship is available to new transfer students entering UB who are seeking their first bachelor’s degree with at least 60 credits. Students must have a cumulative transfer GPA of 3.5 or higher when entering. The Wilson Presidential Scholarship covers 100% of in-state tuition only; students are still responsible for all incurred student fees. The scholarship is automatically renewable for four semesters of enrollment (excluding summer) if a GPA of 3.25 is maintained at UB.

There are two ways to apply for the scholarship:

  1. Through a Maryland community college – Applications are available in the Honors Program department of Maryland community colleges. Each community college may determine its own application procedures and establish eligibility criteria in addition to those specified by UB. Each community college has a predetermined number of nominations available. One of these nominations may be for a part-time student. Nominations though the community colleges are only available for students entering fall semester.
  2. Directly to the University of Baltimore – The Wilson Presidential Scholarship Application, including an essay of no more than 400 words, two letters of reference (at least one from a college faculty member), and all other supporting materials must be submitted by March 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.

Students may not receive other institutional scholarships in addition to receiving the Wilson Presidential Scholarship.
