The University of Baltimore School of Law's 86th commencement ceremony will take place on May 20. Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, will serve as commencement speaker. The University System of Maryland Board of Regents will present her with an honorary doctor of laws degree.

Langsdale Library is the new home of a unique collection of books covering areas of interest in the field of forensic accounting - a program available in UB's Merrick School of Business - thanks to a donation by the Maryland chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. The collection is believed to be only the second of its kind in the nation.

After an 18-month strategic planning process, Vital Signs 11, a comprehensive statistical portrait of Baltimore and its neighborhoods, marks a new stage for reporting on "quality of life" indicators. The 11th edition of the report, published by the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance - Jacob France Institute, tracks more than 150 indicators to show those issues that are important to all of the city and its residents.
